Welcome to the Artistic Painting Studio!

Inspiration, Teaching & Products

Hi! I’m Jennifer Ferguson, owner of Artistic Painting Studio – APS for short.
Those three words above – Inspiration, Teaching & Products – are what I am all about.

Inspiration

To inspire your creative side to take action and start creating is my number 1 goal!

Teaching

I love teaching!! And I get to do this almost every day through my Training Videos, Facebook Lives and YouTube Videos (soon to be going live on YouTube as well).

Products

To accomplish all these wonderful projects you are going to need the tools, paints, plasters, Decorative Art Rollers, etc.. I could keep going on but I think you check it all out for yourself.

Below are a few projects I hope getting your creative juices flowing. For more projects check out my blog here. Lastly, come join my community on Facebook and join the conversations we have on daily projects.

Love, Hope, Faith Stencils with Mermaid Roller and Metallic Foiled Frame

Love, Hope, Faith

I recently found an old frame and piece of pressed lying around my studio. Being that I am a creative, I knew I needed to do something with them. And I think it turned out amazing (if I don’t say so myself)!!

To start, I added texture to the wood board by layering on ArtsSyVille Embellishments Texture Medium and then rolling one of my Decorative Art Rollers through it. After it had dried, I added the words Love, Hope, Faith using Stencils and Mica Flakes (blog). Lastly, I covered the frame with Metallic Foils to give it a beautiful bring sliver glimmer. To get all the details in how I made this project, check out the full blog here.

Cowgirl Boots Transformation Using Metallic Foils

Cowgirl Boots Transformed with Metallic Foils

WOW!! Can you believe these gorgeous cowgirl boots were just a boring, old brown pair before I added Metallic Foils? If you are thinking, “No way!”, don’t worry I can barely believe it myself.

Do you want to give your country boots some personality? Or do you have an old pair lying around you don’t wear anymore?

If so, then this is the perfect project for you! In fact, all it takes to do is your pair of cowgirl boots, your favorite Metallic Foil or foils, and some Foil Adhesive.

The pair I foiled in the photo on the left was done with the Leopard – Silver and Seafoam Foils. To get the full details about how I was able to create these Metallic Foiled Cowgirl Boots click here.

All Funked Out End Table!

All Funked Out End Table

As they say, “one person’s trash is another person’s treasure.” That statement has held for me over the years. Every once and a while I will see a piece of furniture in front of someone’s house they are throwing out. Well, that is exactly how I came across this little gem.

After prep-ing the end table, it was time to let fun begin!

Haphazardly, I applied the colors Old 57 and Mermaid Tail at the same time with a little water. These two colors are from the Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paints, which are chalked based paints and my personal favorite brand. You can learn all the Ins & Outs about DIY Paints here.

Lastly, I brushed a little paint on my Decorative Art Roller – Chrysanthemum Pattern – and rolled it wherever I felt like it!

Metallic Plaster Finish in Penthouse Champagne

Metallic Plaster Finish

Lastly, I know creatives and DIY-ers out there are looking to do some home improvement. Because of this, I wanted to show you all this project I finished last year!

Every project needs a name, so this one called “Penthouse Champagne.” We were able to transform the entry way and great room to fit this owners needs perfectly.

There are many different types of decorative painting finishes out there. This project is a Metallic Plaster Finish

Are you wanting to learn how to create finishes of all sorts?
I have a private Facebook group called Artistic & Creative Inspiration Paint Group where I teach this finish and many, many more! Click here to learn more about my group!
